Shopify Flow

Pro+

BatchCard works with Shopify Flow so gift cards issue themselves: reward loyal customers, recover bad orders, and react the moment cards are created, using one Flow action and two triggers. Available on the Pro plan.

See the Shopify Flow integration guide, learn how merchants use it for service recovery, or read the gift card promotions that drive revenue.

Reward customers without lifting a finger

A customer places their tenth order, a VIP joins a segment, a support ticket closes: Flow issues the gift card so you never create one-off thank-yous by hand. Add the Create gift card for customer action to any workflow. It creates one card for that customer and returns the code, id, and balance to later steps.

Know the moment cards are created

Notify staff when a big batch finishes, tag every recipient, or log new cards to a spreadsheet, all automatically. The Batch completed trigger fires when a batch finishes, and the Gift card created trigger fires every time a card is created for a customer.

How It Works

1

Install Shopify Flow

Add the Shopify Flow app to your store. The BatchCard action and triggers appear in the Flow editor automatically, with nothing to connect in BatchCard.

2

Add the Create gift card action

Drop the Create gift card for customer action into a workflow and set the customer and card value. Cards are created silently by default: the Send gift card email toggle stays off until you turn it on, so no one gets a surprise email.

3

Add a trigger to react to activity

Use the Batch completed or Gift card created trigger to start a workflow when cards are made, then branch on the payload fields.

4

Run and confirm

Run the workflow against a test customer and confirm the card lands in your monthly Shopify Flow batch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which plans include Shopify Flow support?
The Flow action and triggers are included on Pro ($9.99/mo) and Business ($24.99/mo). Below Pro, nothing fails silently: the action creates no card and leaves a clear message in the Flow run log.
Why did a recipient get two emails?
Two channels emailed the same card: the Send gift card email toggle is on, and a Klaviyo flow is also emailing on the gift card event. Pick one channel. Turn the toggle off when Klaviyo handles the email, or leave it on and skip the email step in Klaviyo.
When does the Batch completed trigger fire?
The moment a batch finishes creating cards, so you can react right away. It fires for manual, CSV, and import batches on every terminal state (completed, partial, and failed), which means you can catch failures too. It reports card creation, not email delivery.
Where do Flow-created cards go?
Into one tidy place: every card the action creates that month appends to a single rolling batch named for the current month and year, so your dashboard stays organized. Flow-created cards count against your monthly plan limit like any other card.
